Closing the Year with Hope, Art, and Gratitude

From Stealth to Shared Purpose: Turning Art and Compassion into Healing

The NY Resilience Award Gala, December 18th, 2025, NYC

Dear friends and supporters,

As we close out the year, we want to pause and reflect on a moment that meant so much to our foundation.

The NY Resilience Award Gala was our first time stepping into the public eye after two years of working quietly and intentionally to build the MyWhatIf platform. We have been operating in stealth to ensure that what we created was safe, grounded in science, and truly worthy of the people we serve.

The response was overwhelming.

The room was filled with belief, generosity, curiosity, and care. We felt held by this community in a way that affirmed not only our mission, but the future of this work.

Below, we’re sharing a few photos from the evening. You can also view and download additional photos from the gala here:

If you attended and captured moments from the evening, we would love for you to add your photos to the folder as well. This night belonged to all of us.

Turn Art into Healing - The Silent Auction Is Still Live

Our silent auction is still open through December 31, and it is a vital part of how we fund trauma recovery for 2,500 people who are seeking a safe path forward.

“This work traces the quiet outline of healing” - Noriko Nagaiwa

Each artwork in the collection carries a story of resilience, transformation, and hope. Guests at the gala shared how deeply moved they were not only by the beauty of the work, but by the lives and experiences behind it.

“The act of moving forward, of finding strength” - Rebecca Lazinger

By bidding, you are doing two things at once: supporting the artists who shared their stories with courage, and directly funding trauma recovery journeys for people around the world.

“This piece speaks to resilience not as triumph, but as the courage to remain open” - Lib Mason

These works make meaningful holiday gifts. Art you can live with, and impact you can stand behind.

“A space where tenderness and endurance live side by side” - Chiaki Ishimatsu 石松チ明

With Deep Gratitude

This evening would not have been possible without an extraordinary group of people who came together in a very short time with generosity, dedication, and heart.

Special thanks to our team members Rachel, Tal, Justine, and Sophie, whose commitment and care were felt in every detail.

We are also deeply grateful to Racheli Warshavsky from TAU Impact, Brian Bentow (Get Saucy), Ariel Kahana, and Jason Shaplen, whose support, partnership, and hands-on help made this gala possible.

Thank you to our sponsoring and partner organizations: STAR Network Foundation, Get Saucy (Chef Suhan), NY Art Competitions, Agora Gallery, and Tel Aviv University.

And to every volunteer, artist, speaker, donor, and guest, thank you for showing up with open hearts and for standing with trauma survivors around the world.
