Healing Trauma Through Art, Science, and Community

Dear friends,
We are now just days away from The NY Resilience Award, our first-ever benefit evening in New York, and this community gathering is shaping up to be truly extraordinary. If you are holding a ticket, this is your reminder that something special awaits you. If you have not yet joined us, there is still time to be part of a night that blends art, science, resilience, and hope.
A New Partnership with Tel Aviv University
We are proud to announce our partnership with Tel Aviv University, through TAU Impact, as MyWhatIf’s Israeli hub for clinical distribution, research collaboration, and long-term impact measurement. This collaboration strengthens the scientific foundation of our work and expands our global reach. We are honored to welcome Dr. Dorit Redlich-Amirav from TAU, who will share how this partnership brings hope science into real-world trauma recovery and aligns with TAU’s emerging Center for Civic Hope.
A Culinary Experience by Chef Suhan Lee of Get Saucy
We are thrilled to introduce Get Saucy as our culinary partner for the evening and to celebrate the remarkable story of its co-founder, Chef Suhan Lee.
Suhan is a Marine veteran turned elite chef, trained at the International Culinary Center and forged in six Michelin-star kitchens. He has cooked for celebrities, U.S. presidents, and foreign dignitaries. His journey from service to the culinary arts reflects resilience, discipline, and purpose, values that deeply align with the mission of MyWhatIf.
For this event, Suhan will create a bespoke culinary experience designed specifically for our guests, offering food that brings people together and elevates the spirit of the evening.
Artists Traveling the World to Be With Us
We are deeply grateful to the extraordinary artists who have donated their work to support trauma survivors. Several of them are traveling from the Netherlands, Israel, and even Japan to attend in person.
They are coming not only to share their art, but to meet you, speak with you, and share personal stories of hope, resilience, and healing. Their presence is a gift to this community.
Every Ticket Includes Automatic Entry Into Our Raffle
Every guest who attends the event will automatically participate in our raffle at no extra cost. No additional tickets to buy. Just show up. The raffle includes exceptional prizes donated by our community and partners.
Why This Night Matters
The NY Resilience Award exists to fund MyWhatIf’s upcoming pilots with leading institutions, including Mount Sinai, Columbia, and Tel Aviv University. These pilots are essential for our FDA approval, supporting people living with trauma and making recovery accessible, scalable, and grounded in science.
Online bidding for the art auction is already open:
Whether you attend in person or support from afar, we invite you to take part, share this event with friends and colleagues, and help us grow a movement centered on hope.
Lastly, this event is truly community-powered. If you would like to volunteer for a short time during the evening, helping with taking photos or serving drinks, we would be grateful to have you join us in that way.
Healing happens in community. Hope spreads when we gather.
We cannot wait to welcome you next week in Chelsea for a night of connection, inspiration, and impact.
With gratitude,
Omer Golan,
